Striking miners congregate in a make-shift hut, discussing strike and union issues. Multiple conversations go on most of the time. They talk about snow fall, fights, and grazing sheep. A miner says he worked in one mine under three different companies and stressed the importance of a reliable pension fund system. In Westmoreland mine the bosses were issued guns by the company, but these were withdrawn when word got out to the public. They talk about how miners are now fighting both coal and oil companies. One miner explains that the energy crisis was created to benefit the rich amd if there really were a shortage, we would develop long-lasting, high-mileage cars, but the economy is based on wastefulness and profits. Footage of miners standing outside the hut talking with mountain scenery behind them makes up the rest of the video.
