Abstract:
Recorded lecture #10 provided by Dr. Peter Ossorio from his advanced personality course titled Personality and Personality Theories. At the beginning of the lecture Ossorio discusses agreement and disagreement. In the second half of the lecture he transitions the topic to discuss negotiation and bargaining.

00:00:00 Dr. Peter Ossorio begins the lecture by asking the class if they have any questions about the connections between deliberate action, social practice, and symbolic behavior. 00:01:17 Ossorio talks about agreement and disagreement. 00:09:19 Ossorio talks about negotiation. 00:30:23 Ossorio continues the conversation about disagreement and adds the notion of ID characteristics. 00:39:25 Ossorio talks about paradigm cases related to the examples discussed throughout the lecture. 00:58:29 A student asks Ossorio to talk more about ID characteristics and drawing conclusions. He continues to talk about the features of actor, observer, and critic roles. 01:02:06 Ossorio talks about bargaining in negotiation. 01:15:14 Ossorio talks about another observer device, that being a judgment diagram. 01:30:08 Ossorio asks the class to go through an exercise about observing behavior and describing it. 01:32:14 The class takes a five minute break.
