As an event in the First Person Cinema series at the University of Colorado Boulder, filmmaker Diane Kitchen introduces and discusses three of her films: Roots, Thorns (1992), possibly Notch, and Wot the Ancient Sod (2001). From audience questions, Kitchen discusses her relationship to the Ashaninka people in Peru, her process as an ethnographic and experimental filmmaker, spirituality and nature, and her editing process.
