Descriptive intertitles (ca. 1936) offer information and commentary from the perspective of an American traveler. May also contain footage acquired by Miller from other sources (ca. 1927). Hawaiian Islands are described as "Paradise of the Pacific" and "Garden Spot of the Earth." Scenes include landscape views of Diamond Head, Pearl Harbor, and Mt. Pali; "Royal Hawaiian Band and singers" greeting cruise ship passengers; Japanese carp-shaped wind socks celebrating "Boys Week"; farmer with carabao and other people working in rice paddies and sugar cane fields; man fishing with net in the ocean; people climbing trees to collect coconuts; people chopping and eating coconuts and pineapples; man outdoors pounding taro root to make poi. Also includes views of Mormon Temple, statue of "Kamehameha the Great," and people in traditional dress dancing (described as "Hulu Hulu" dance), with elderly man playing gourd drum.
