00:00:00 Surfing, the famous sport of Waikiki. 00:01:55 How it looks from a canoe. 00:03:09 Outriggers for the surf-riding canoes are made of the light but tough "wiliwili" wood. 00:03:35 The more daring sportsmen equip their outrigger canoes with sails to increase their speediness. 00:04:06 We see a magnificent sunset just before we sail. 00:05:24 The Royal Hawaiian Band and singers bid us farewell. Tears comes to our eyes as we hear the beautiful strains of "Aloha Oe". 00:06:48 The next morning we arrive at Hilo and are taken to the rainbow falls. 00:07:05 We are given a glimpse of the Kilauea Volcano before lunch. 00:07:38 After lunch we are entertained by these two beautiful girls. 00:10:15 On the way to the crater of Kilauea magnificent tree ferns shade the roadway. Notice the height of the ferns. 00:11:30 Halemaumau: House of the Everlasting Fire" 3500' Long 3000' Wide 1200' Deep. Kilauea Summer Camp 21m. 00:12:09 We are given a beautiful farewell at Hilo. 00:13:20 Homeward Bound The Homeward Bound Pennant is raised. 00:14:39 Captain F. Kruse who so ably took care of us on this wonderful cruise. 00:15:06 Everything that is worth while must have an end, and with the sunset "The Voyage of our Dreams" comes to a close. 00:16:29 End of recording.
