Description:
Picketers present anecdotes about harassment of employees and unsafe mine conditions. They recollect the antics of mules, used in the mines long ago. They wonder about recent union activities in Trinidad and Aguilar. They also complain about changes in the union's publication and leadership. Picketers had then been on strike for more than 90 days. They speculate about Pres. Carter's future actions on the strike. The miners wonder what they rest of the nation expects and insist that strikers' goal is retention of benefits. They discuss their earlier work in various mines across the country and share anecdotes about threats of violence to the picketers.
