"One of the torii. The entrance in the sacred grove to the temple buildings of Ieyasu the Shogun in 1604. This is of stone, the heavy cross pieces mortised into the columns. It is almost 28 ft high. The grove is of the tall cryptomerias giving the densest kind of a shade."
