Work Description:
This is a copy of two original documents. One is a photo by "L. P. Bass, Boulder, Colo." of a portrait of a man. The same portrait appears on pg. 11 of Glory Colorado where Bud Davis identifies it as Captain David Nichols who made the famous ride to Denver to get legislative support for having the University located in Boulder. The other document is a receipt which is pictured on pg. 13 of G.C. which is the promissory note of H. 0. Dodge for $50.00 for the money raising to secure the University for Boulder.
