Work Description:
This picture was probably taken in the early spring of 1904 when the library was just completed. There are no leaves on the trees and only traces of snow are seen in the mountains. The terrace in front of the building is just being graded and it does not look as though it had been finished much east of the left edge of the picture. The flagstone sidewalk in front of the building has just been put down and the globes on the lamps on the front steps have not yet been installed. Cottage No. 2 is visible at the far right.
