description:
Moderated by E. James Archer. Rothschild outlines his points: the desirability and possibility of banning particular weapons of war, specifically the toxic (chemical and biological) and nuclear weapons; and methods of ensuring the obsolescence of war in the future. Rothschild gives a general history of weapons-use and then focuses specifically on toxic and nuclear weapons. Negative effects and the humane nature of toxic weapons are explained, as well as their effectiveness against enemies. Suggestions are given for the eventual elimination of weapon-use and the prevention of war altogether.
