a. A helmet of the early middle ages. b. Motifs---cross, vine, lamb, dove, square, circle, geometric forms, conventional forms, crown, peacock. c. Colors---purple, yellow, gold, violet, red, blue, white, green, black. d. Cosmetics---hair bleach, artificial hair, oils and scent, dye for eyelashes and brows. e. Textiles---linen- white and colored, cotton, silk, camlet, gold tissue, appliqué, embroidery with silver and gold threads and jewels, the silks were sarcenents and taffetas, damasks, brocatelles, lampas, and velvets. Tapestries were very fine.
