Audio interview of Murray Leslie Goldenberg, born 1949, by Dr. Justin Jaron Lewis at the interviewee's home in Winnipeg. 00:00 Interview begins with an introduction of the interviewer and interviewee, as well as location information; 01:20 Murray starts with the last memory he has of Reb Zalman when Zalman came to visit Winnipeg a few years ago. He tells a story that Zalman told when he was visiting. The story made him realize that he was still the same Reb Zalman Murray knew years ago; 05:15 Murray talks about Zalman’s “Psychology of Religion” course he took in 1971. He continues to say it was a revolutionary course with a variety of religious experiences. He met many people in the course and became friends with Zalman during the course; 07:20 Murray talks about meeting Shlomo and the House of Love and Prayers established all over the world; 09:45 Murray talks about the women that lived with Zalman and Zalman’s second marriage; 12:20 Justin asks if Murray can recall any specific experiences from the Psychology of Religion course. He only recalls the different people he studied in the course and the weird people in the course. He cannot recall the experiential aspects of the course; 16:50 Justin asks Murray to talk about Friday night events with Zalman and other students. There were lots of dancing and singing; 17:44 Justin asks Murray what Murray’s parents thought about Zalman. Murray states his parents did not have a problem with Zalman; 22:00 Murray talks about a character he knew that was a Jewish gambler. He continues to talk about the people and culture in Winnipeg; 31:00 Justin thanks Murray for his participation in the interview.
