00:00:00 Opening credits. 00:00:27 Narrator introduces the home of Jim and [Darce?] located in a quiet suburb. The narrator continues to explain that Jim enjoys the tranquil lifestyle of the suburbs while his wife misses the apartments and lifestyle in New York, where she used to be a model before they were married. 00:00:55 Scene changes to show Darce and her friend Ellen drinking tea outside on the porch. The narrator mentions that Jim is not particularly fond of Ellen because she is a bad influence on Darce. 00:01:13 Jim arrives from work and wants to sit on the porch for some peace and quiet, but Darce rushes to him to explain why Ellen is visiting for the weekend. 00:02:00 Darce offers the idea that all three of them go for a swim and while Darce gets ready for the pool Ellen wants to know why Jim dislikes her so much. Ellen kisses Jim and heads inside after Darce. 00:03:36 The two women change into their bathing suits and head to the pool. Jim arrives and offers each woman a cigarette. He lights Ellen’s cigarette but does not light his wife’s cigarette for her. Jim and Ellen continue to talk to each other. 00:06:09 Darce walks away from Jim and Ellen and they follow her into the woods. Ellen slips and Jim grab her and kisses her. Darce comes back to find them kissing and runs off. 00:07:45 Later, Darce’s body can be seen under water and Jim and Ellen look distraught to find out she is dead. The narrator explains that Jim is alone in his big house now. The scene changes to show Jim reflecting on his memories of Ellen from previous summers. 00:08:55 End of recording.
