Compare with 1972-2-4, 1976-2-1. 1a: Triangular peak in centre is Uitkijk. 1b-1d: Western portion of Northwall Firn. 1d-1g: Eastern portion of Northwall Firn. 1g, 1h: Meren Glacier. Note on envelope: 1973: Taken in January and February 1973 by the Second Australian Universities Carstensz Glaciers Expedition. Only slight changes occurred to the ice front between 1972 and 1973 (Meren Glacier retreated 15m and Carstensz Glacier retreated 10m) and only a few selected photos are included.
