Transcribed from item: Snout of the Meren Glacier from Dozy's 1936 Cairn (19340 E, 10400 N). In 1936 this cairn was only 65 m from the ice margin. Photo 1936-3-1 was taken from a position about 1000 m due west. Photo 1962-3-1 taken from about 700 m up valley. 1972. All photographs taken between late December 1971 and early March 1972 by the First Australian Universities Carstensz Glaciers Expedition.
