Description:
Kandinsky moved to France in 1934. His work in Paris is characterized by the introduction of biomorphic forms, the incorporation of sand with pigment in well-defined areas of the painting and a new delicacy and brightness in his color harmonies. He preferred pastel hues to the primary colors he had used in the 1920s. In his Parisian work he favored new images derived from biology, zoology and embryology.
